One of our favourite pieces in the collaboration between PUMA and cult British luxury lifestyle brand House of Hackney, originally an interiors label founded by Hackney husband and wife team Javvy M Royle and Frieda Gormley, is the reinterpretation of the iconic Basket Classic Lo sneaker rendered in velvet.
In this unique collaboration patterns and prints are combined effortlessly with elegant material choices including soft velvet, Jacquard and leathers, and applied to footwear and apparel, as classic PUMA sneakers like the Basket and Trinomic R698 receive heel-to-toe makeovers.
Dare we venture to call it the “velvet-slipper” for the street cred urbanite? We think so!
