THE NEW Y EAU DE PARFUM
YSL unveils the latest addition to the family, Y EAU DE PARFUM. A stronger, more intense take on Y; the bottle is darker, the juice is more intense.
Deep, fresh and masculine, Y EAU DE PARFUM is created by legendary perfumer Dominique Ropion and built around the structure of a fougère, among the most prevalent in masculine fragrance types; a contrast of fresh citrus and aromatic notes followed by more sensual woody notes.
The start of the scent is fresh, a tangy and explosive duet of bergamot and ginger, emphasised by fruity, juicy and crunchy green apple.
Sage and juniper combined with mint and geranium essence add a masculine contrast in the middle, and the addition of amber woods, Olibanum and Tonka bean reinforce its mysterious depth and appeal.
Mirroring the monolithic glass form of its predecessor, the iconic Y EAU DE TOILETTE, the Suzanne Dalton-designed bottle of Y EAU DE PARFUM has been created, in Dalton’s words, as “an expression of purity”. Sliced through a bright metallic Y, the bottle is strong, heavy and elegant, recognisable to his touch. The sharp edges of the bottle are more clearly defined by an intense dark black fade-out, gradually giving way to clear glass; a dark reflection of the intense juice within – the effect being a sophisticated bottle you’ll want to keep on your bathroom shelf for as long possible.
