During his spare time Cape Town based Art Director, Peter Georgiades, artistically re-works fashion campaign images into unusual and creatively pleasing artworks.  And I am obsessed. It started as a time-filler and has become a fixation. Here’s a quick look at some highlights from Peter’s Behance. Enjoy and follow him on Instagram here.

It’s no secret that beards are pretty hip right now. Maintaining and looking after the fuzz, however, has taken a backseat with many faux-hipsters. Don’t be that guy. Bonafide Beards are the only proudly South African beard grooming range that’ll help you tame that facial hair while keeping your manhood intact. Super affordable and possibly the best beard grooming products I’ve encountered, Bonafide Beards are a must-have for anyone serious about their facial follicles. Get the Beard Grooming Startup Pack for R450.

Puma’s bringing back the classic Boris Becker OG, a timeless tennis sneaker that the 17-year old Becker himself wore during his famous and groundbreaking Wimbledon win in ’85. Featuring an all white leather finish and bright red Formstripe, the Boris Becker OG is the epitome of Puma’s tennis heritage.

Made for the court and loved on the streets, I would definitely want to add a pair to my Puma archive. Only a limited number of pairs will be available in SA at Shelflife stores with more coming in 2015.

I’ll be honest, hats are not my thing. So when I first encountered Simon and Mary I was a little sceptical. I tried a few on and fell in love. They’re so well crafted that even my large head felt at home in one of these noggin covers.

With a background of 70 years millinery experience, these guys are making hats the way the original milliner extraordinaire, Simon Pozniak, did back in the 60s. They’re even using the same machinery.

Find them at various stockists from R500.

Regarded as one of the most influential and controversial artists of the postwar era, Jeff Koons, is having his first major museum presentation in New York at the Whitney Museum of Art. His elevation of kitsch and the appropriation of tacky images and objects culled from popular culture contributed to his unexpected and swift rise to the top of the art world. He is also the 1st artist to almost fill the entirety of the Whitney’s Marcel Breuer building.

If you happen to find yourself in New York, this is an exhibition you should definitely pay a visit, if not, see more of his work HERE.

As winter draws its sorry ass to a close I look forward to summer. As does my liver, pummelled for the bulk of the citrus season with my favourite posprandial tipple – the old fashioned.
Recipes vary but the usual suspects are Bourbon, brown sugar, orange peel, ice and bitters. The bourbon is easy – Maker’s Mark, Woodford Reserve or Knob Creek but rather than reaching for the ‘go to’ Angostura try Fee Brothers.

I discovered it at an upstate New York distillery, but couldn’t find it in SA. As luck would have it I recently spotted it in Spar liquor store. It’ll work with your drink not against it. Trust me. Try it.

I am obsessed with luggage. Always have been. Which also makes me extremely picky. But when I spotted VELTWERK I must admit I couldn’t quite contain my excitement. The collection has everything I look for: functional and durable with contemporary aesthetic.

VELTWERK is range of handcrafted backpacks, laptop/iPad sleeves, satchels and lifestyle accessories designed with the discerning urban commuter in mind. Produced from locally sourced, vegetable-dyed leather and imported luxury felt, VELTWERK strive to use the best materials available from organic and natural fibers.

Each bag in the VELTWERK range tells a story and has been named after a famous field worker. Nice touch. My favourite? All of them!

My on-going love affair with brogues went to another level with the addition of these beauties by Swede & Crowe. Not only are they unique (my shoe mantra), but they are also designed and made in Jozi, so a proudly South African product. But over an above great design and quality, I especially like the hidden message under the sole of the shoe that reads, worry*less

It’s the London bolthole that put’s the iPad in manpad. The Eccleston Square Hotel, located in the über-chic burb of Belgravia is so overloaded with modernity; it’s said to be the most high-tech hotel in Europe. Rooms, inspired by super-yacht designs, feature every gadget from personal concierge iPads to 46-inch plasma TVs with 3D glasses, while en suites (stocked with all-you-can-lather L’Occitane products) are shrouded with glass walls which flick from clear to opaque by sensor-touch.

You should get a good night’s kip too. At £12000 a pop, the hotel’s Hästens beds, billed as “the best in the world”, come with built-in relaxation pulses. Just consider it your Swedish massage – on demand.

The details: ecclestonsquarehotel.com; from £210/R3750 per night.
