Just like your wardrobe, fragrances for men have a season. During the nippy days of autumn and winter, we tend toward warmer scents – think tobacco, dark musk and wood. But come the long, warm days of summer and those notes feel too heavy, kind of like drinking warm beer on the beach in February.

The best summer scents don’t forgo those classic, guy-friendly smells; they just cool them off. So added to the mix are spices like saffron and pepper, greens like basil, sage, mint and vetiver, and, of course, some zesty citruses.
